My Found Family: The Bonds That Shape and Support Us

Many would define family as those you are genetically related to. But to me, family are the people you care about and vice versa. They help you grow and find your own identity.

My friends are part of my family. I can share my interest without judgment. I laugh and joke with them. They have supported me through thick and thin, even when there is no benefit for them.

But there is a part of me that they don’t quite understand, I tend to spew information without stopping. They tend to listen but eventually get bored after a short time. They understand that I am overeager with what I find interesting. They support me with whatever sparks my interest and I love them for it. We grew up together and saw each other’s highs and lows. We learned from each other to be the people we are now. They are as close to siblings as I would ever have. They are my found family.
